Filler Treatments?
- You must be over 18 years old
- You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding
- You should be in general good health and should have realistic expectations of the outcome
- Patients with bleeding disorders may not be suited for dermal filler treatments
- New patients require a face‐to‐face consultation, where they will be informed of all options, risks and complications of the procedure
- Patients with an active cold sore are not suited for dermal filler treatment in the lip

Local anaesthetic in dermal fillers decreases the discomfort during injection. Treatment effect is immediate.
The results can last up to 4–18 months, depending on type of filler used and the area treated.
All treatments are associated with some level of risk, and some of the complications may be permanent.
The commonest side effects are bruising, swelling, tenderness, itching and redness.
In rare cases, Dermal Fillers can block a blood vessel – leading to tissue death, permanent blindness or stroke.
Some people may not wish to undergo Dermal Filler treatments.
The alternative therapies include, but are not limited to, wrinkle reducing treatments, dermabrasion, medical-grade peels, prescription-strength vitamin A products, lasers and surgery. There is also the option of embracing your wrinkles and folds, doing nothing to alter their appearance.
